Your Hosts
The hotel was purpose built in 2000 by Queenstown locals, Nigel and Bridget Brown.
They originally opened and operated until 2008 when it was purchased by Gillian and Donald McDonald. Gillian and Donald, your current hosts, are New Zealanders who have lived in Queenstown for many years.
We have a long working history in tourism in Queenstown, Taupo, Rotorua and Nelson, our experience comes from over 30 years in hospitality, transport and the attraction side of New Zealand tourism.
Gillian's home baked muesli and ANZAC biscuits recipes are now travelling the world, they are so popular.

and to share with them our knowledge and experience. For us personally it is our guests
who make owning this lovely property so enjoyable. We meet such a diverse mix of such
interesting people from all over the world and their very positive stories and their enjoyment

Restaurant, Sightseeing Information, Activity Bookings
We have up to date information on restaurants based on our own and our guest feedback which we enjoying sharing. We have a large range of Queenstown sightseeing and activity information in the hotel and are happy to offer suggestions and ideas based on our guests personal interests. We can also email suggestions and ideas in advance of arrival to assist guests with planning their days.
We can easily make restaurant & sightseeing bookings, taxis & shuttle bookings for our guests at any time. If you are interested in shopping for special gifts or something memorable to take home just ask. We are only too happy to assist.

Our Guests comments" Simply, I loved Browns Boutique Hotel, the food, and everyone associated with it! It was the best place I stayed during my entire 2 month trip to New Zealand and Australia - and I stayed in many places during that time. My room was large, well appointed and had a sweet "Juliet balcony" with wooden French doors that allowed me to see mountains, town and water, whether the doors were open or closed.
